Ascot Heath CE Junior School

Welcome and School Values

Ascot Heath Church of England Junior School is an open and honest learning community based at the heart of North Ascot. We believe we use our passion for learning to excite and engage children through the relevant and aspirational curriculum we provide across Key Stage 2. Our staff are committed to helping children grow and develop under their care, nurturing their talents through an inclusive and consistent approach to learning.

Fundamentally, we want all of our children to feel happy, safe and secure in our school. We appreciate the trust parents and carers show us when they place their children in our care, and we want to make sure that we repay that trust by enabling children to reach their full potential and leave us with the skills they need to succeed.

We have five core, gospel values which we share with the children, staff, parents and governors: Love, Joy, Hope, Strength and Service.  These are embedded in our policies, practice, processes and provision. Staff model these values and celebrate children who demonstrate them.

We have a talented and engaged parent community who contribute widely throughout the school in a range of ways such as: listening to readers, helping on trips and cooking with groups. As well as having a respected track record of academic success, we are known throughout the local community for our high standards of achievement in a range of other areas including sport, music and charitable efforts.

As well as working in close collaboration with Ascot Heath Infant School, we also share practice in a variety of ways. We are an active part of the TOPS Cluster of North Bracknell Schools, and work with them to collaborate on, amongst other things, training and moderation. We share practice with a range of Local Authority schools, visiting their classrooms to obtain ideas and innovations and welcoming them to ours to offer the same. Finally, we work in close partnership with another school in the diocese of Oxford, Holy Trinity CE Primary School with members of staff from both schools collaborating and visiting one another regularly.

We hope you find this website and the information contained on it useful and we look forward to seeing you in and around our community.
