Special Educational Needs
Parents/carers may be concerned about aspects of their child's learning, skills, physical development or communication during their time at Ascot Heath CE Junior School.
Questions/concerns about learning/attainment, progress, targets, behaviour, self-esteem and wellbeing should be discussed initially with your child's class teacher. With guidance from the SENCo, teachers will plan and review provision for your child. An Individual Education Plan, or IEP, may be drafted with parents/carers for pupils identified as SEND Support (on the SEND register).
Mrs Huggins, our Family Support Advisor, works with pupils to foster inclusion and social skills. She is able to signpost further support from the school nurse and Behaviour Support/Family intervention. Mrs Huggins also allocates resources for Pupil Premium learners in consultation with teaching staff. Mrs Brant, our SENCo meets with parents/carers of SEND pupils by appointment.
