Candy Canes for Crisis

Year 4 Elves Raise Funds for the Homeless

After seeing a news story about homeless children, Sophia decided to organise a charity sale in school to make a difference to families in distress. She encouraged her friends, parents and teachers to contribute candy canes for a 'one to eat, one to treat' sweet sale. In the weeks leading up to the event the helpful elves, Sophia, Adele, Ella, Holly K, Luca and Fletcher, gave up their time to design posters and make/tie on tags. On Friday 15th December the elves sold the candy canes in the children's kitchen. They raised over £50 for Crisis. Adele commented 'I enjoyed helping the homeless people' and Sophia added 'I think that we worked well as a team and I am pleased with the total'. Well done helpful elves!
